10.05.2017: Amarillo, TX - Childress, TX - Altus, OK - Vernon, TX - (424 Miles)
Rating:
English summary: Somewhat higher expectations today did not verify. Storms
along the Red River remain low-end tornadic (a gustnado has a completely
different genesis, and cannot really be counted as a tornado, neither does it
last long or look nice). Chaser traffic hinders our mobility under the fast
moving storms, especially near bridges. Thanks to increased dryline interaction
towards the evening, a storm futher south gets at least more visible and
beautiful (see time lapse segments further below) ©2017 Markus Pfister, Sacha Beck, Philippe Gyarmati, Christian Hunkeler und Roland Morgenthaler |
